Travelling to Meteora from Thessaloniki
The city of Thessaloniki is 230 km north of Meteora and the town of Kalambaka and takes about 2 ½ hours to reach by car.
If traveling by car by car there are two main routes that you can follow.
The first route is to follow the motorway E75 transit from Katerini-Tempe, take the exit to Larissa towards Trikala and Kalambaka.
The second route is via Egnatia (E90) towards Veria-Kozani-Grevena.
Grevena exit to exit to and from there Trikala Kalambaka and Meteora is approximately 1 hour.
